What Murakame, Sydney - TripAdvisor Member says about "Accommodation" ?

My partner and I stayed at the Pimalai, Ko Lanta for seven nights in July 2009 and could not fault this beautiful, quiet oasis of perfect serenity and excellent service. We had booked a standard room for the duration orf our stay and I would have to say that we'd have been more than happy to spend our entire time in the room we were allocated. However on discovering our air con was not working properly on the morning after our first night, we were upgraded to a beachfront suite. This was of course superb, but even without this, we know we'd have had a brilliant time. The manager, Franck, and all of his excellent staff, were superb. The breakfasts were the best we've encountered anywhere in resorts and hotels around the world (the omelettes a particualarly delicious highlight - and teh omelette chef exemplary!). Being the low season the occupancy was low - which worried us slightly only because we thought 'How on earth can this beyond-good place and service be maintained with so few visitors?'. The beach was often ours alone and on the few occasions we used the resort's two pools we were virtually on our own too. If we had to note one small, tiny dissapointment it would be that the resort's restaurants, though excellent, were a bit pricey - we'd have gladly dined there more often had it not been for the prices. But this shouldn't put anyone off. Go, even in the low season when you might have a couple of days of rainy, stormy weather as we did. Its still fantastic.
