On sweeping landscaped grounds on the edge of the ocean at Kantiang Beach, the cottages are luxurious and designed with a classy eye to every creature comfort. The calm, cool and gracious welcome in the small stylish lobby gives an indication of what awaits you. Traditional Thai furniture, gorgeous local artworks and embroidered fabrics, and clever use of space and light make the big bedrooms and dressing rooms a treat. The bath-almost-in-the-bedroom may seem strange to some, but there are more conventional bathrooms, some with glass walls onto enclosed patios, and the occasional outdoor shower added as an extra. If it rains, enjoy lounging on the private decks or take advantage of the state-of-the-art DVD player with a movie from the resort's library. Everywhere you look is lush greenery, lily ponds and the blue of sea or sky."
