07/Feb/10 STARS & HALFMOON @ The Seven Seas Restaurant
The Michelin Star awarded chef, Chef John Halvemaan (halfmoon in English), was on hand to brighten up the evenings of January 27 & 28, when he made a culinary visit to Pimalai’s spectacular Seven Seas Restaurant. Chef Halvemaan, a Dutch perfectionist from Amsterdam, and the youngest chef ever, at the age of 27, to obtain a star in the Michelin guide composed a very special menu for these two tropical evenings. Enjoying great food is part of the vacation experience; being able to provide our guests with a Michelin Star Chef's culinary dinner is a true mark of our ongoing efforts to further enhance our guest's overall experience at Pimalai. From the Kitchen brigade’s point of view it was an additional learning step, a chance to be involved in preparing high quality food under the supervision of a Master Chef.
