Improving our Eco-friendly resort mission

Pimalai uses sodium chlorinate in its swimming pools to prevent skin and eye irritation. This chemica eventually breaks down to form common salt. Cleansing agents such as detergents, etc. are stictly biodegradable and environental freindly. Spa treatment products are of natural materials and herbs; e.g. soap from turmeric, hair shampoo from wild lime. When possible, packaging materials and containers are recycled. Eletrical appliances use environmental friendly agents such as CFC-free compressors. Nosy pollution is minimized by restricting vehicle use within the resort and by using electrically powered vehicles for essential transportation; tthis unfortunately could not be applied within the villa estate where the roads are quite steep, and we rerettably have had to adopt the use of fuel powered cars.
