We have just be made aware that Pimalai is amongst a few pre-selected resorts for the running competition "Category: Thailand's Leading Resort" at the 16th Annual World Travel Awards that will be held later in the year.

Hailed by the Wall Street Journal as the "Travel industry's equivalent to the Oscar's", the World Travel Awards are the most comprehensive and most prestigious awards program in the global travel industry. Nominations are based on the previous year's voting and recommendations made by travel, tourism & hospitality industry professionals which represents a total of 167,000 registered travel agents and professionals worldwide. Pimalai Resort & Spa won that award in 2007.
