The Resort recently launched a new activity for guests that stay at the resort during the off season from May to October. It is a wonderful one and a half hour cruise along the east coast of Koh Lanta, cruising around the majestic upright limestone outcrops of Talabaeng Island. Bubbly, beers and canapés are served on board while discovering the fascinating scenery of natural wonders that include limestone rocks in the shape of a snake head, elephant, chicken and lion…as spectacular as Phi Phi islands and definitely more peaceful!
Finding of a new "SHELL" at Pimalai!...
For each of the past eight years, Pimalai has recruited a part-time English teacher, especially during the off season, with the aim of improving the general level of English of the staff employed at the resort.
Starting this year, to further increase the English proficiency of our employees, we have decided to join forces with Mr Toby Maguire and his wife Pannika, who have developed a Specific Hotel English Language Learning or “SHELL” program designed specifically for Hotels in Thailand.
Developed over ten years of working within the hotel and tourism industry, this program takes into consideration the challenges faced by the hotels in training their staff in effective English communication. The program allows hotel employees to master the language needed for their specific job 6 times faster than traditional English teaching methods. Not only will it provide our staff with the language expertise needed for their jobs it will also improve the essential service skills required to provide our guests with the 5 star experience they deserve.
