02/Apr/12 Annual Clown Fish Release @ Koh Haa
As part of its efforts in promoting sustainable environmental development, Pimalai Resort & Spa contributes actively in supporting the local authorities and, in conjunction with the Thai Fishery Department, sponsors the breeding and release of clown fish. This event is entering its eighth year and significant process has bee made in reintroducing this comical little fish into the Koh Haa waters. This year, in addition to the clown fish release, the team of divers will also introduce 50 sea horses at the same location. This environmental operation, under the guidance of Kasetsart University marine scents Dr Thon Thamrongnawasawa, has now become a yearly event with the ultimate aim of turning the stunning Koh Haa islands, due west of the resort, into a fish sanctuary for the enjoyment of all. If you have not yet experienced a snorkeling outing, then you should know that the island of Lanta itself and the other surrounding islands are truly in very good sake and offer a great paradise for snorkelers and divers alike. This year, the clown fish release will take place on of April 2nd, with Scubafish@Pimalai dive center (firstname.lastname@example.org) arranging all the logistics for the day.
