Flooding in Thailand…

As you may have seen on TV channels, several provinces of Thailand were subject to severe storms in the early part of November. We were lucky on Koh Lanta as these did not really affect us, even though we had above average rainfall …. This was not the case for several of our staff, from Hatyai, Songkhla & Nakon Sri Thammarat, whose homes were badly hit and partially destroyed during the storms and the subsequent flooding.

A helping hand was needed and it did not take long to set up donation boxes within the resort and also at the resort’s staff restaurant, allowing both guests and staff to show their generosity to help those in need. Eventually, a total of B.40,000 was collected and shared between the 8 staff members who had suffered property damage due to the flooding.
