Boats & Equipments
“MV Moskito”, our purpose built dive boat, can comfortably accommodate 20 scuba divers and snorkelers. The boat has a spacious indoor cabin, sun-deck with shaded canvas canopy on the upper deck and 18 tank racks on each side of the dive platform, so there is plenty of space to gear up and get your dive equipment ready.
The dive platform lies low in the water to aid entry and exit, and there are no awkward steps to negotiate once you’ve geared up and are ready to enter the water.
If you are learning to dive, our staff are always ready to help you adjust and check your equipment. They will also ensure you complete a buddy check before you enter the water.
The boat departs directly from the Pimalai jetty on Kantiang Bay each day during high season; pending on the tide, it might require a short transfer, by longtail boat, from the beach to the dive boat. Our location in Kantiang Bay means that we offer some of the shortest journey times to Lanta’s top dive sites. During the low season – May to October, we depart from the pier in Lanta Old Town increasing journey times by about 1 hour.

Traveling in comfort and cruising at 12 knots you will have time to get acquainted with the other guests on the boat. Our dive groups are carefully selected according to each diver’s level of experience and air consumption, so that each of our divers has a memorable and relaxed underwater experience.
A shaded open air area on the top deck offers long cushioned benches and tables, in addition to a sundeck for those wanting a suntan. For your convenience the counter on this level is stocked with facilities for making hot beverages, and even a toaster! There is also an ice box for truly cold drinks – filled with ice coffee, fruit juices, coke, sprite and water to enjoy free of charge throughout the day. Also located on the top deck you will notice a dedicated medical room – equipped with a bed, oxygen, and first aid.
The lower deck is comprised of a spacious lounge, the dive deck and bathrooms.
The lounge salon is our dedicated dry area, and offers a break from the heat if you require it, thanks to electric fans! Furnished with 8 booth-style cushioned seats and tables, this is an ideal space for planning and logging your dives, or even catching up on some PADI Coursework. There are numerous electric power points allowing you to plug in your laptop and start editing those underwater images, and for your entertainment, enjoyment (and perhaps even PADI education) we can further boast a TV and DVD player.
Between the lounge and the dive deck are 2 spacious bathrooms, each with a western style flush toilet and basin, and a freshwater shower. The Dive Deck consists of 57 tank racks, so every one of our diver’s is afforded space and comfort for gearing up and performing your pre-dive buddy checks. There is also a large rinse tank on the dive deck for safe storage and rinsing of underwater camera equipment.
Upon surfacing you will be provided with a towel by our crew, and the dive team will take care of changing your equipment whilst you catch up on what you just saw over a delicious buffet style lunch served on the upper deck.
